When You Buzz Me Like This

Fact #1: Nothing says “I have no taste” like a collection of prominently displayed Celine Dion CDs.
Fact #2: Searches on “celine dion concert,” “celine dion lyrics,” and (shudder) “buy celine dion tickets” are all on the rise.
Conclusion: Much like the war on drugs, we’re losing the war on cheesy music.
The disturbing surge on all things Celine stems from her upcoming tour. The Canadian crooner will perform all over the world, no doubt converting many otherwise well-adjusted folks into Titanic-loving goobers. Oh, the humanity!
It’s a depressing thought, but there is at least one bright spot. A look at the age of searches indicates that folks 35 and older are responsible for the vast majority of lookups. Perhaps future generations of resolute young people will break this vicious cycle of diva-worship.
Still, this is America. And if folks want to search for Celine, we suppose they have the right. So, on that note, we present the top 10 Celine Dion searches from the past week. Take a look, but beware. Your soul may be dying with each click of the mouse.
